Tag: save broken relationship

Saving a relationship that is already broken can be very tricky. I often get asked for relationships advice from friends like “how can I get my ex boyfriend back” and I give them the following tips:

1. Communication is the key. The best way to save your relationship is to talk with your partner. You have to be able to talk with the person you are with about everything. Even mundane things like how your day was at work, or perhaps just connect on some news item you saw that day that was interesting. Communicate your problems as soon as they happen because keeping it bottled up inside is a recipe for resentment and disaster in the long run. And be open and understanding when your partner tells their problems to you.

2. Trust your partner. This is a huge step in any relationship, to trust your partner. And often this is the cause of most problems. Saving a relationship can be as easy as just learning to trust your partner when he/she is out with their friends on a friday night. If you have already broken your partners trust it is not the end of the relationship. Talk with them, tell them you are scared of losing them after you broke their trust (yes even you guys) and talk it out. Trust can be regained with time.

3. Pay attention. But not too much. To avoid a relationship breakup you need to pay attention to your partner. Be aware of their needs and likes / dislikes. Try to spend some quality time together atleast once a week. But be sure not to spend too much time together. I know when you’re in love you want to spend every moment together, but remember that you are 2 seperate people and while you might be similar your needs will be different slightly. Give your partner time each week to themselves and take some time for yourself. Treat yourself well and you will be happier and more responsive on the whole.

4. Think positive. This might seem a bit cheesy to a lot of people. The power of positive thinking, hah. But even if you don’t believe in this step I put it to you that it can’t hurt to just try it :) Avoid thinking things like “We are not going to break up” and instead focus on thoughts like “We are staying together“. As you can see it’s the same thing but avoid the use of negative terms in your thinking. If you are wondering how to save a relationship this one probably won’t be the magic cure. But combine it with the other tips here and it will increase their effectiveness greatly.

5. Fight for your love. What I mean by this is… saving a relationship is hard, yes. But everyone in a relationship fights about things. Relationships wouldn’t work if everyone was the same. Respect that the person you are sharing your life with is an individual and that’s why you love them. Fighting is a natural part of every relationship. It’s healthy and without it life would be somewhat drab in my opinion. It lets you better understand the person you are with, why they think the way they do, who they are. Understand them, resolve the problem and move on.

So those are the quick tips for saving a relationship.

So I’ve noticed recently that a lot of people are looking for relationship books. And so I took it upon myself to review a couple books on relationships and find out which ones are popular at the moment and this is what I found…

The oldies are still the goodies. If you are looking for relationship books of course you can’t go past Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus by John Gray … or … Are you the one for me? by Barbara de Angelis. I would recommend these books to anyone in a relationship, whether you are having problems or not these are great reads.

But most of my visitors are having problems with their relationships so what relationship books are suitable then?

P.S. Sorry this will be very short reviews as I don’t want this post to drag on too long.

I already mentioned this book on relationships in a previous blog post and by now you’ve probably noticed it linked on my site. This is of course my number 1 preference for relationship books. The reasons are:

  • The layout is very easy to use and understand. Everything is in an easy Step-by-step format that anyone can follow.
  • It covers a broad range of situations and scenario’s
  • Technique’s to help you control your emotions when approaching your ex
  • Downloadable so you can see the benefits immediately
  • Not gender biased

This is an alternative to the above relationship book. Both are designed for the purpose of getting your ex back. Although this one is targetted at getting your ex girlfriend back. So a lot of the advice may not be useful to women.

  • Complete guide on how to get your ex back forever
  • Easy to follow step-by-step guide
  • Explains in detail why the things you already tried have not worked
  • Has tips on increasing your sex appeal
  • Helps you find out the true reason you were dumped in the first place
  • Downloadable so you can see the benefits immediately

While I would like to give a review on this product I’m trying to keep my blog free of adult content so I’ll just provide the link to the sales page which has a ton of information anyway. Suffice to say that a good bedroom relationship will make the other stuff a lot easier.

These are the relationship books I recommend. Check them out if you’re having trouble getting your ex back.
